Korea AI Chip startup company has collaborated with iPasslabs

iPasslabs is pleased to announce that FuriosaAI partnered with iPasslabs, which provided “Pre PCIe 5.0 compliance test” in May. RNGD received certification in July and was added to the official PCI-SIG integrators list – achieving “one-shot” success just three months after the first silicon samples. The remarkable accomplishment positions RNGD to be a widely adopted solution for LLM inference in data centers and on-prem deployments in 2025 and beyond.
So called “Pre PCIe 5.0 compliance test”, iPasslabs has capability to validate every section of PCIe compliance test for customers, includes electrical and protocol tests, before attending the official PCI-SIG compliance workshop. Moreover, iPasslabs is one host for test gold suite in PCI-SIG compliance workshops that based on the prior collaboration experience we could assist customers in real-time with any issues encounter, it could help customers efficiently get certification.
FuriosaAI was founded in 2017 by engineers from Samsung, Qualcomm, and AMD. At the Hot Chips conference in August, they unveiled their second-generation AI accelerator card, “RNGD” (pronounced "renegade"), which is currently sampling to early access customers ahead of broader availability in early 2025.
RNGD is positioned to be the most efficient data center accelerator for high-performance large language model (LLM) and multimodal model inference. In a market dominated by legacy chipmakers, RNGD has garnered attention for delivering a "trifecta" of performance, programmability, and power efficiency.
